The board of directors of PT Fintek Karya Nusantara or LinkAja, which was announced at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) at the end of June, officially appointed Yogi Rizkian Bahar as LinkAja's President Director effective June 21, 2022. With more than 18 years of experience in technology and communications, Yogi has a vision to bring LinkAja to become a digital payment facility that can unite Indonesia's potential by achieving financial inclusion.

After pursuing an undergraduate degree at ITB majoring in Electrical Engineering, Yogi has also completed a Master's degree in Business Administration at Dili Institute of Technology, giving him a strong foundation to lead the company as President Director. Prior to his appointment as LinkAja's President Director, Yogi was appointed CEO of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Internasional under the brand name Telkomcel, which operated in Timor Leste from 2017 to the end of 2021. Successfully driving the net revenue growth of Telkomcel's business from negative to positive with triple digit growth is one of the achievements that Yogi and his team have accomplished. Under his direction, the company's function as a mobile telecommunications service provider has also been successfully transformed into a leading digital solutions provider in Timor Leste.

"I am honored to be entrusted with taking LinkAja to a new chapter. With nearly two decades of experience in communications technology, I have the opportunity to unite LinkAja's strengths as the leading financial technology company in Indonesia. In the midst of the rapid growth of the digital world and technology-based services, it is important for LinkAja to be agile in seeing opportunities, developing its ecosystem and continuing to actively transform to keep up with developments," said Yogi.

In the coming months, Yogi is focused on ensuring that his management and employees have an understanding of the company's priorities to facilitate more supply chain ecosystems in businesses operated by various SOEs. This will be reflected through a series of programs and initiatives such as digitization in the business supply chain ecosystem such as Digipos (Telkomsel), SRC (Sampoerna Retail Community), and more—spreading to other SOE business supply chains. For this reason, Yogi ensures product and technology development that can improve the quality of users in utilizing LinkAja as a payment service provider that can meet essential daily needs. On the other hand, LinkAja also continues to progress to maximize its capital access service, Modalin, so that the benefits can be experienced more extensively by the SOE business ecosystem and also beyond the SOEs that partner with LinkAja.

Some of the highlights of Yogi's career include the launch of various innovative initiatives that he and his team at Telkomcel have undertaken. During his tenure, Telkomcel launched TPay, a digital wallet application that transformed the way people transact in Timor Leste and advanced financial inclusion in the region. In addition, Yogi also successfully presented MyTimor as a ride hailing application equipped with a digital payment portal, as well as MyFood an application that facilitates Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Dili to develop and increase transactions digitally first in Timor-Leste, as well as MyLoja which is the first market place in Timor-Leste which is end-to-end that accommodates MSMEs and also users to sell and earn income which is fully integrated with the TPay digital payment method. All of these applications have received a very positive response from the people in Timor Leste.

With these experiences, Yogi is optimistic that LinkAja's success can be achieved with a mature strategy, as well as the support of a qualified and experienced workforce. Assisted by five other directorates who were also appointed through the AGMS mechanism, Yogi is optimistic that LinkAja will grow positively and continue to be a digital financial service provider capable of democratizing a more inclusive way of transacting for the united potential of Indonesia.

'Always achieve the goal with teamwork and trust in God as our savior' is Yogi's working principle, and is transmitted to all LinkAja employees every day to continue to be optimistic and enthusiastic in building LinkAja.
