PT Fintek Karya Nusantara through LinkAja Syariah Services and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) collaborated with sharia services to provide digital convenience to the wider community and encourage the transformation of sharia digital transactions to realize financial inclusion in the country.

 

 

The collaboration was marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing on the Exploration of Cooperation in the Utilization of Sharia Banking Services which was signed by the Marketing Director of LinkAja Wibawa Prasetyawan and the Director of Information Technology & Operations BSI Achmad Syafii, Thursday (25/11). The signing was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi, Deputy Minister of BUMN II, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, and President Director of BSI, Hery Gunardi.

 

 

Wibawa Prasetyawan, Chief of Marketing LinkAja, said that the collaboration between LinkAja's Syariah Services and Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) provides more options to support the transaction experience using LinkAja's Syariah Services with the most complete, easy, and simple ecosystem of digital transaction service that still submit to sharia principles.

 

 

"We hope that LinkAja's Sharia Services as the only sharia-based electronic financial service will succeed and contribute to the Sharia Economic Master Plan launched by President Joko Widodo in 2019 to make Indonesia an independent, prosperous, and civilized country and to become a leading Islamic Economic Center in the world," said Wibawa Prasetyawan.

 

 

Hery Gunardi, the President Director of BSI said that digital acceleration is one of BSI's focus in boosting business performance and achieving sustainable growth. BSI will continue to carry out digital transformation strategies to provide easy financial services for customers and the public to expand synergies with strategic partners.

 

 

The strong digital acceleration of BSI is reflected in the cumulative transactions of BSI Mobile reached 74,24 million transactions or grew by 133% yoy. The increase in transactions through e-channels in September 2021 reached 162.40 million transactions or 95% of transactions at BSI are already using e-Channel, while the remaining 5% still use the service at the tellers.

 

 

"We hope LinkAja Syariah Service will provide great benefits for the Indonesian people in accessing all Islamic banking services, with one of the plans is to open an Indonesian Syariah Bank (BSI) account online through the LinkAja application and LinkAja Syariah Service," said Hery.

 

 

The scope of strategic collaboration between LinkAja Syariah Services and BSI includes four main programs:

 

(1) A joint promotion program that includes and is not limited to Extra Balance Blessings, bonus top-up balances, and transfers;

 

(2) Allowance disbursement program for BSI employees through the LinkAja application;

 

(3) Cooperation and integration of Cardless Withdrawal products, Open Online Account, Transfer LinkAja Balance to BSI Account and BSI Virtual Account

 

(4) Other programs in order to improve Islamic financial services in Indonesia.

 

 

Meanwhile, Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi, as the Deputy Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, said that Indonesia has great potential in developing the Islamic economy and finance. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia is a positive trend in the trade of halal products in the world. "Through the strategic synergy of LinkAja's Sharia Services with BSI, it is hoped that it can be a good pioneer for digital transformation for a sustainable sharia ecosystem, and all Indonesian people can have good literacy in the use of sharia-based electronic payment systems," said Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut Tauhid.

 

 

Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, as Deputy Minister of BUMN II, emphasized that the existence of the Islamic finance industry in Indonesia has indeed experienced significant improvements and developments. For this reason, Islamic finance facilitators, both banking and e-wallet, play an important role in all economic activities in the halal industry ecosystem. "The collaboration between the banking services of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), the largest Islamic bank in Indonesia, and the e-wallet Syariah Services LinkAja, as the first and only sharia-based e-wallet in Indonesia shows a positive trend, with product innovation, increased services and the development of a digital ecosystem for the people of Indonesia," said Deputy Minister of BUMN II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.

 

 

The LinkAja Syariah service is a new breakthrough for the sharia digital transaction ecosystem. As the first and only Sharia electronic money in Indonesia that has received sharia conformity certification from the DSN (National Sharia Council) MUI and sharia feature development from Bank Indonesia, LinkAja Sharia Services continues to progressively develop a safe, honest, and integrated sharia payment ecosystem for customers.
